On April 25, 2019, (1 year after the night before Sarah died) I had stopped in Walmart to pick up a couple things on my way home. When I entered the store there was a bunch of purple carnations that caught my attention. I got my items and decided to pick one of the bunches right before heading to checkout.
Right before the anniversary of Sarah’s death the family was trying to help me come up with a business name. I had been thinking for a while about starting a business and having it well established before I retire years from now.
Well I had left the store and had just gotten on the highway. The song on the radio was Peter Frampton’s Lines on my face, the lyrics came up “called out your name, but there’s no answer”.
At that moment the smell of the carnations that were in the front seat next to me him me like I had been slapped. I looked at the radio and the time was 11:56 p.m. The name Purple Rose Trading and the visualization of a logo popped into my head (I didn’t smell them anymore for the rest of the ride home).
On April 29, 2019 I registered the business name and got the business license. The final logo is still in development and not what you see above, that is a temporary logo. I will keep that low key until I actually have it designed and ready for use.
