I think the birds like this setup. They have cover in the trees and can see the feeder that is directly above the center of the garage door out of frame to the right.

I was waiting for my youngest to get into the car and spotted a couple of cardinals in the tree so I just decided to film the activity.

You can hear the car door shut and we both just watched for a bit. The birds are a little more accepting of us in the driveway and will fly back and forth while we are around. They fly away if a car comes up the street,
