A friend dropped off a Rose bush somewhere around a month ago. The first night a deer ate every single rose flower off the plant. We kept it watered and a couple of weeks ago I finally planted it hoping it would survive. It finally bloomed another rose.

Update 8-17-18

This blossom really opened up nicely.

As soon as I filled the suet feeder this Downy Woodpecker paid it a visit.

And as I sat in the driveway creating this post and drinking my coffee, a male cardinal (camera shy) was eating from the seed feeder a close 10 feet away.
