I was getting ready to take the dog out, looked out the window beside the door and about 8ft away was a bright red male cardinal. I’m watching it, call my wife over and the dog is jumping up and down wanting to go out. The bird looked at us, jumped on the head of the St. Francis of Assisi statue (which made me laugh).

No picture (except in my mind, I can still picture the bird vividly as it just happened) as it happened so quick!
